Donations made through FUPFA will be used by the University of the Philippines for its numerous development programs which include upgrading the University’s facilities and faculty development. Donors have the choice of where and how their donations may be used by the University.
If you want to give to UP, but don’t have a project in mind, here are a few suggestions.
1. Professorial Chairs and Faculty Grants – Over the year’s donations through FUPFA have been mostly used to professorial chairs and faculty grants. To date, FUPFA donations have been utilized to establish more than 30 professorial chairs and faculty grants across the UP system (Click here for more information of professorial chairs and faculty grants).
2. Study Grants – Other donors through FUPFA have chosen to fund study grants for outstanding members of the faculty, so that they can continue their studies.
3. Development Projects – Some donors may choose to start their own development projects, like upgrading a particular library or reading room, while others may choose contribute to an already established one.
4. Unrestricted Donations – A donor also has the option of making donations unrestricted, therefore these will be made available for any project the University deems high-priority.
